Xu was born in a noble family of traditional Chinese medicine. Xu was taught by her mother Wei Tianmei in his childhood. He then determined to practise medicine. Later, he was taught by professor Pei Yongqing and guided by such masters as Zhou Renfeng, Su Youyu and Ma Shiqi. Xu ever won Ren Yingqiu scholarship in the school. He ever studied in the US for two years as a special visiting scholar of TCM. He ever won special award of American Acupuncturist Association and obtained physician qualification and acupuncture practitioner qualification and medical license. He has been devoting in the research of physical and mental diseases. According to traditional theory of TCM, he has confirmed the treatment rule of “treat physical body first for mental diseases and the mental state shall be adjusted for diseases to physical body” and the effect of treating physical and mental diseases are obvious.
Xu is devoted in TCM education. He has compiled practical teaching materials and got the support of foreign students.
Personalized treatment scheme is adopted when treating mind diseases (tension, insomnia, horror, fret, anxiety, depression and mania). The purpose of internal and external treatment is reached through aperture pointing, acupuncture, moxibustion and dose.
At the time of treating somatic diseases (heart-throb, chest tightness, hair loss, menopause, fatigue syndrome, acute and chronic stomach disease, hyperplasia of mammary glands and ovarian cyst), Xu stressed on the influence of psychological factors to diseases and the negative influence of family, society, work and life on the emotion, mood, temperament and character of the suffers. Psychological guide is made at the time of regulating physical functions to reach the purpose of disease treatment.
